Evert Lategan and the Eco Cast team was involved in four building projects, three with tilt up insulated panels, over a period of 5 years. The projects were BRC accredited manufacturing facilities for an international company and had to adhere to European standards.
The casting, tilt up of the panels is much faster than the conventional construction methods. No steel columns in the building. Roof trusses is fixed to the tilt up panels.
No additional wall insulation is required seeing that the insulation in the panels is sufficient to keep the factory cool even at temperatures exceeding 40°C. The inside finishes of the panels were durable, easy to maintain and adhered to BRC & HACCP standards.

We used Eco Cast to build Montagu Trusted Quality Snacks’ new state-of-the-art packaging facility in Brackengate 2. Construction began in November 2021, and we were up and running with production by June 2022 — an impressive turnaround of just six months.
The insulated concrete wall panels were cast starting in December 2021 and fully erected by the end of February 2022. These panels have made a noticeable difference in reducing our energy costs for heating and cooling.
What really sets this construction method apart is the efficient use of space — with no internal roof-supporting columns, we gained maximum flexibility in our layout and operations.
Evert and his team at Eco Cast were highly professional and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Their dedication and efficiency made all the difference.
